PROJECT MANAGEMENT + DESIGN + LIGHTING

CLUBHOUSE

This new 4,500 square-foot natural stone and timber clubhouse serves as the welcoming lodge to a 1,000-acre wooded community.  The challenge was to maximize the footprint and minimize maintenance and future energy costs. The solution was to be selective with the interior spaces needed for amenities and clubhouse management, so largest room, the “living room”, is a grand passive open-air porch.  It was also very important that the design be modern and fresh while using the community board’s traditional log exterior and predominately all wood interior.  The special attention given to these smaller parts and how it related the building’s proportion created a space that feels natural and refined.
